What is a body cleanse?

cleanse your bodyA cleanse is a way to give your body a chance to get rid of accumulated toxins. The cleanse is usually done by two methods: (1) consuming certain nutritional products to assist the body in detoxifying and (2) only certain foods are eaten during the cleanse time. For clarification purposes, this is NOT a fast. You will be consuming food during this program, along with nutritional supplementation.

The liver, digestive tract, kidneys, bladder, lymphatic system, lungs and skin are the major systems/organs that are involved in the neutralization and elimination of toxins. Because we are exposed to high levels of foreign substances and over consume chemically treated, synthetically produced food, extra purification is needed.

My cleanse utilizes whole food supplements, pure food and water that gives the body the resources that it needs so that it can purify and rebuild itself naturally. This 3-week program places an emphasis on the liver and the colon because those two organs play a major role in supporting the digestive system.

As a Naturopath and Health Coach, your health and wellbeing is always my goal. I take this seriously and want to make sure that this cleanse is appropriate for you in your current health state. Cleansing is not for everyone, and certain health challenges may make cleansing inadvisable. It will be my determination whether or not you should participate in this cleanse.
