Ok, so I realize this is slightly off topic of my health blog, but it is slightly related in that I did suffer a great deal of stress this week dealing with this! It finally happened to ME! You know how you always think “it will never happen to you”, well guess what?! I’m so fortunate in that it wasn’t a bad case. Someone hacked into my PayPal account and bought some online music for $53.00. Fortunately, I caught it within a half-hour of it happening. PayPal was extremely helpful and resolved the situation very quickly and thoroughly. Already have my money back! It was basically painless, but I wanted to give you one very important tip!
If you’re like me, you have lots of different accounts that require username and passwords. I have email accounts, facebook, twitter, banking accounts, credit card accounts, website management accounts, blog listings, etc., etc. At the time of this happening, I probably used a combination of 4-5 different passwords depending on the email account, bank account, blog account, website account, etc. Well, apparently, only using 4-5 passwords, isn’t enough! I found out the hard way! The “powers that be” highly recommend that not only do you use a unique password for EVERY account, but that you also change it EVERY month! YIKES!!!
My problem has been (and I’m sure some of you can relate!) is that I can’t remember all my different usernames AND different passwords for every single account. Especially now that I have my blog and have listed it with several different blog listing services, the remembering all those different things has been overwhelming!
But now I have found an easy way to remember. I downloaded this Ultimate Password Management software last week after this happened. I actually bought the “Pass2Go” version and have it installed onto my memory stick. I can then take all my usernames and passwords with me and can use it in public places without having to actually “type” in any of that info. It is of course, very secure and encrypted, and because the risk of keylogging software is so great in public places, this eliminates that problem.
Now as far as dealing with the stress. As you can imagine, the immediate and overwhelming feelings of “fear” and “anger” that I felt was huge! Fortunately, being a proponent of natural health, I knew just what to do! I reached for two things….one was my Bach Rescue Remedy. For those of you that don’t know about this little gem, you absolutely MUST get some. It can be found easily in any health food store. It is a MUST HAVE and can be used for so many stressful situations! Just a few drops under my tongue brought immediate relief to the overwhelming fear and anger that I felt. Then, the 2nd thing that I used was Peace & Calming Essential Oil from Young Living. This oil smells delicious and it helps to calm down your nervous system and bring your body back into balance. You can read more about all the various uses for Peace & Calming on my prior post about it.
So I just wanted to share with you all about this. If you have any questions about my experience, please feel free to comment!

I’ve never had a problem with password protected accounts, but I’ve had multiple encounters with people getting and using my credit card and debit card numbers. Although it’s fairly easy to have a fraudulent charge reversed on a credit card, it’s a completely different story with a debit card. Because of this, I don’t use my debit card anymore and only use the credit card.
Another great way to keep track of passwords is to keep them in an encrypted database on your cell phone. Software is available for all the popular PDA style phones.
I’ve been wanting to learn more about essential oils for a while now and am just about to check out your article!
